The short version
Iris Vale: Crossword Detective does not collect anything about you. There is no account, no server of ours, no analytics and no advertising. Your progress stays on your device.
What is stored, and where
The game keeps your progress on your device, inside the app's own storage:
- which puzzles you have solved and how you filled them in;
- your stars, your notebook marks and the phrases you copied;
- which daily grids you have kept;
- how many of Mr. Pim's favors you hold (the in-game hint currency, which cannot be bought);
- your settings (music, vibration).
Nothing of this is sent to us or to anyone else. We have no copy and no way to obtain one. Deleting the app deletes it.
Purchases
Cases and Season Passes are bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your name, card or Apple ID. The game only asks the App Store which of our items your account already owns, so that it can open them, including after you reinstall ("Restore purchases").
What is not collected
- No name, email address or account of any kind
- No analytics, usage statistics or crash reports
- No advertising identifiers, and no advertising
- No location, contacts, photos or microphone

Like any web server, our hosting provider (Railway) records the requests it serves, including the visitor's IP address, for operating and protecting the service; we do not use those records to identify anyone.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone, of any age.
